A Little About Tina…

Best at: Looking at things with the glass half full. Whatever situation I’m in, I’ll find the good in it.

Worst at: Keeping my plants alive. I love being a plant mom, but I have the habit of killing a lot of my plants. I have three right now that are thriving.

Passionate about: Health. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be in the medical field. My dad is a diabetic. I wanted to be a PA to help people with preventative care. I ended up going a different direction, but I still want to live a healthy lifestyle.

What’s your “why”?: I know I’m giving back to my community. When I was five, my older brother was in the I Have A Dream program. I thought the organization was a fun club. I didn't know it was a group that supported people in underserved communities. I started to see the impact of the program when I became a tutor at IHDF. My “why” is to give back to my local community in a positive way. I want to be part of the change.

Favorite Hallmark: We embrace the gift of diversity.

The Hallmarks by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur are the essential characteristics, values, and activities of the NDMVA learning community. They are common principles that we share within both organizations. They recently refreshed their hallmarks! Click here to read the updated Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Hallmarks.
