A Little About Ted…
Best at: Considering others. I like to try to do little special things for people. If I see something that reminds me of someone, I’ll pick it up. I send little notes…I hope it's a way to remind people of their goodness and specialness.
Worst at: Sports: I love sports, but I don't have a coordinated bone in my body.
Passionate about: Fostering a sense of understanding others and building bridges. I love the sense of seeing the goodness in all cultures and peoples. I struggle when I look at our world and politics. I see the progress that’s been made to bring people together has been thwarted and taken steps backward due to division and lack of understanding of others. I’m passionate about a sense of reconciling all gifts and cultures and striving to do what I can to cultivate a better understanding of that.
What’s your “why”?: Throughout my life, I have been involved in this type of work because it is at the core of who I am. I deeply believe in humanity's inherent goodness, worth, and potential. I believe that there is a call for each of us to exist in true kinship with each other and all creation.
Favorite Hallmark: We proclaim by our lives even more than by our words that God is good.
The Hallmarks by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur are the essential characteristics, values, and activities of the NDMVA learning community. They are common principles that we share within both organizations. They recently refreshed their hallmarks! Click here to read the updated Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur Hallmarks.
