NDA members serve in partnership with the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester (SSJ) Volunteer Corps to provide services to children, teenagers and community residents of Nativity Preparatory Academy and Saint Joseph Neighborhood Center. Applicants will apply be interviewed by Sr. Donna Del Santo, SSJ, Director of SSJ Volunteer Corps in addition to NDA staff.

Nativity Preparatory Academy

Nativity Prep is a new school that opened in September 2009. Nativity Prep continues to grow in a south side neighborhood along South Ave. Members will be provided with assistance and supervision from a master teacher and oversee after school activities, tutoring sessions and summer camp.Positions available would welcome proficiency in Math, Science and Language Arts.

Aquinas Institute / Nazareth Hall

Middle school and high school age students attending the newly merged Aquinas Institute / Nazareth Hall are encouraged to participate in community service. The NDA member serves as the Community Service Coordinator and works with the community and the school to schedule and oversee activities such as serving with Habitat for Humanity. The position involves organizing and meeting regularly with the middle and high school students and community organizations to facilitate service projects.

Saint Joseph Neighborhood Center

St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center, an inner-city health and outreach center, serving the working poor and their families. Located appropriately between Mt. Hope and Comfort Streets off South Avenue. Across the street from Saint Joseph's House of Hospitality Center. Positions available are as Assistant Volunteer Coordinator and Prescription Assistance.
